BASILDON United boss Marc Harrison believes a point was fair after playing out a goalless draw with Bury Town.

The Bees went into the clash looking to maintain their 100 per cent winning record at the Ho Ho Stadium.

But Harrison admitted both sides found the tough conditions difficult to contend with.

Harrison said: “A draw was a fair result.

“It was difficult conditions to play in, with the rain, and it was very windy in the second half.

“Both teams found it tough to get going and it was quite a flat fixture.

“But it’s another point towards safety, which is pleasing.”

The Isthmian North table-toppers went into the game having dropped their first points of the season at Brentwood Town in midweek.

But Harrison is pleased his side has picked up two draws since their seven match winning run.

The Bees boss added: “It’s important that we keep picking up points. If and when we are safe, we can start focusing on other things.”
