SOUTHEND United defender Harry Lennon will step up his comeback from a fractured toe this afternoon.
Lennon - who has been out since suffering the injury on the opening day of the season - played the final minute of Saturday’s 2-0 win at Gillingham.
And the centre-back will now look to build on that short display when he lines up for the Shrimpers’ under-23 team at AFC Wimbledon.
“It’s good to have Harry back and he’s been looking good in training,” said Blues boss Chris Powell.
“We’ve been earmarking this game for him and will look for him to play 45 minutes to an hour.”
Shrimpers wingers Michael Kightly and Stephen McLaughlin will also line-up against the Dons.
