SOUTHEND United manager Chris Powell feels his Shrimpers side have yet to hit top form - despite their recent run of fine results.

Blues - who host Coventry City at Roots Hall tomorrow - have gone five League games without defeat, picking up 13 points from a possible 15.

But Powell believes there is still more to come from his side.

“We’re nowhere near at full speed yet,” said Powell.

“I still feel there are areas we can improve and get better in.

“There are parts to our game individually and collectively that we can do better and if we do that then we can make ourselves a real force.”

The Shrimpers head into tomorrow’s game sitting ninth in the League One table, ahead of Coventry who are currently 12th.
