SOUTHEND United boss Chris Powell is pleased to have Luke Hyam back in business.
The midfielder, who endured an injury hit start to the season, played the full 90 minutes as Blues beat Scunthorpe United 2-0 at Roots Hall on Tuesday night.
And Powell is thrilled to have Hyam available again.
"Luke brings experience to the team and he keeps things ticking over too," said Powell.
"He has an edge to him as well which I like and he did a sterling job for the team.
"He’s had a couple of injuries but hopefully now he can get himself ready and be a bonus for us.
"I’m pleased for him, he’s done well since he came back."
Tuesday night's clash with Scunthorpe also saw Hyam make his first League start since the opening day of the season.
