DEAN Brennan is aware Billericay Town cannot take Oxford City lightly.

Oxford, who claimed a convincing FA Trophy win over Chelmsford City just days after being narrowly knocked out of the FA Cup by League Two side Tranmere Rovers, make the trip to the AGP Arena for a National League South clash tomorrow.

And Brennan knows Oxford are capable of denting Billericay’s promotion push.

The Town boss, who confirmed club record signing Dean Inman has joined Kingstonian, said: “We look forward to every game but our main priority is to get promotion.

“We are entertaining Oxford, who are on a fantastic run of form, and we know they are a good, technical side.

“They have a good manager who I know very well and it’s going to be a really difficult test for us.”

Brennan has strengthened his side by bringing in Paul Rooney and Devonte Aransibia on loan from Colchester United and Norwich City respectively.

The Billericay players enjoyed their first morning training session yesterday.

And having allowed his side to not train on Tuesday after the FA Trophy win over Hampton & Richmond Borough last time out, Brennan was pleased to see his players revitalised.

“We had a strong turnout for the session, with the majority of the players there in the morning and those that couldn’t make it because of work coming in the evening,” added Brennan.

“But it was a good session with a lot of good ability shown.”
