SOUTHEND United's Nathan Bishop has been invited to a training camp for England's top young goalkeepers.
The 19-year-old, who has made three appearances for Blues' first team this season, spent two days at St.George's Park.
But Shrimpers boss Chris Powell confirmed the shot-stopper was free to be in the squad for Saturday's FA Cup clash against Barnsley.
"Nathan is away with England at the moment," said Bishop.
"It’s a goalkeeping development group but he missed Tuesday because he was with us for the Scunthorpe game.
"He drove straight up afterwards and trained Wednesday and Thursday with them but we’ll have him back on Friday.
