SOUTHEND United right-back Elvis Bwomono is determined to get his own back on Luton Town tomorrow night.

Bwomono gave away a penalty in the Shrimpers’ 2-0 defeat at Kenilworth Road back in August.

But the 20-year-old is eager to make the second round Checkatrade Trophy clash far more successful.

“It was a tough game when we went there before but I’ll be ready and raring to go tomorrow and we’ll be fired up to get the win,” said Bwomono.

“It’s an important competition for us because we know we could get to a Wembley final so we’ll be doing all we can to win.”

And Bwomono will also be keen to impress as he continues to line-up in place of the injured Jason Demetriou.

“I might be able to get a run in the team now but I know I have to play well for that to happen," said Bwomono.

"It's not the way I would've wanted to get a chance and I wish Jason a quick recovery.

"But I want to be able to show what I can do."
