CHRIS Powell says Southend United will be entering the unknown when they head to Luton Town tonight.
The Hatters have often made wholesale changes to their starting line-up in the Checkatrade Trophy.
And Powell is therefore unsure what kind of side the Shrimpers will be facing at Kenilworth Road.
“It’s a bit into the unknown but the Checkatrade Trophy is often like that,” said the Blues boss.
“Luton played Sunday and picked a strong team so will they do the same again with an important League game coming up at the weekend?
“It’s a hard one to call but we’ve just got to focus on ourselves.
“We need to go there and take the game by the scruff of the neck.
“Whoever they pick they will be strong so that’s the way we have to approach it.”
The Shrimpers will also be looking to end their wretched record at Kenilworth Road where they have not won since 1964.
