ECHOSPORT talks to Luton Town supporter Callum Francis ahead of tonight’s contest at Kenilworth Road.

What have you made of the season so far?

“We’ve been really good but I‘m surprised we are up there as I would have been happy with mid table.”

What are your hopes for the rest of the season?

“To just keep playing the way we are and enjoying the ride.”

How seriously do Luton take the Checkatrade Trophy?

“It’s not massively important but it helps young players and fringe players build up their experience and fitness for League games.”

Luton seem to make more changes than most?

“Yes, on average we make nine or 10 changes but it’s still a team full of players who would walk into many League One teams like Accrington or Southend.”

Who would you say is the dangerman?

“If he starts then Danny Hylton but you never know what to expect with him."

What kind of team do you expect to be picked?

“I’d say the same as our last game in this competition against Peterborough but hopefully it’s not the same score!”

Luton are managed by ex Southend player Nathan Jones. How popular is he with the fans?

“We all love Nathan Jones.

“He’s got a real bond with the supporters and you can see it rubs off on everyone at the club. They all love his reactions and passion for Luton
