SOUTHEND United will be looking to ‘sleigh’ League One leaders Portsmouth this weekend.
The Shrimpers, who sit 14th in the standings, beat Luton Town on penalties in the Checkatrade Trophy on Wednesday night.
And Stephen McLaughlin is keen to add to Blues’ festive celebrations by picking up all three points at Fratton Park.
“Wednesday was a good win and we want to make it an even better week by winning at Portsmouth now too,” said McLaughlin.
“Spirits are high and we’re also looking forward to the Christmas party we have coming up.
“I sorted my costume this week and the idea is for the whole squad to go along wearing a ride on reindeer costume.
“It should definitely be quite funny.”
