New man in charge - Neil Blackburn
NEIL Blackburn has been appointed the new manager of Basildon United.
Blackburn has made the move to the Ho Ho Stadium from Laindon Orient, where he enjoyed nine successful seasons at the helm.
The appointment has been made after Lee Connor decided he wanted to return to a boardroom role, while fellow joint-manager Michael Walther departed.
Blackburn's first fixture in charge will come on December 22, when the Bees make the short trip to Great Wakering Rovers.
