SOUTHEND United manager Chris Powell has confirmed Taylor Moore will be spending the rest of the season with the Shrimpers.
Moore’s loan deal from Bristol City included the option of a termination during January.
But Powell is pleased to have kept the defender at the club.
“Taylor’s been a very good player for us and he’s learning all the time so I’m delighted he’s going to be staying.
“I spoke to Bristol City and they’re very happy with what he’s doing for us and how he’s playing.
“He’s done well and it was good to see him get his first goal against Gillingham.
“He’s been close to scoring and he’s had a couple of assists but hopefully 2019 will see him score a few more.”
Moore has made 24 appearances for Blues so far this season and scored his first career goal in Tuesday’s 2-0 win against Gillingham.
However, Powell insisted he was yet to talk to Bristol City about Shawn McCoulsky’s loan spell or to Bury about Harry Bunn.
