SHAWN McCoulsky has ended his loan spell at Southend United to join Forest Green Rovers.
McCoulsky - who was with Blues from Bristol City - had struggled to force his way into the first team at Roots Hall.
And the 21-year-old is now heading to Forest Green in pursuit of more minutes.
McCoulsky started the season brightly with Blues and scored four goals in his first two starts, both in cup competitions.
But since then the striker has only been used fleetingly by Shrimpers boss Chris Powell.
McCoulsky failed to start a League game for Blues this season and was an unused substitute in five of their last six games.
The forward’s season-long loan spell at Southend included the option of a termination in January.
And that clause was activated to allow McCoulsky to join Forest Green, who are currently fifth in the League Two table.
