GARRY Kimble is hoping three points at Brentwood Town will kickstart Great Wakering Rovers’ season.

Wakering are 15th in the Isthmian North standings ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Brentwood, who are just one place and two points better off.

And with fixtures against Romford and Felixstowe & Walton United still to come this month, Wakering boss Kimble is hoping to string together a fine run of results.

“Hopefully we can kickstart our season this weekend,” said Kimble.

“If we play with the same effort, application and commitment as against Maldon & Tiptree last Saturday, I think we’ll pick up a positive result.

“We can’t get beaten and I know there is a long way still to go in the season, but we need to pick up some points.

“Two wins could take us into mid-table so we need to get some wins on the board and start keeping clean sheets.”

Max Bradford - who played under Kimble at Witham Town - has joined the club from Romford and is in line for his debut, while John Mbamarah has departed.
