SOUTHEND United manager Chris Powell is hopeful Taylor Moore will be fit enough to face Bradford City this weekend.

Moore missed Saturday's 3-2 defeat to Plymouth Argyle with a hamstring injury.

But Powell is confident the centre-back will be available at Valley Parade.

“Taylor is back in training,” confirmed Powell.

“We’re hopeful he will come through and be available again.”

However, winger Harry Bunn has been ruled out with the hamstring injury he suffered against Plymouth last time out.

“We’ve lost Harry and it’s been very stop-start for him so far,” said Powell.

“He’s shown what he can do creativity wise and scoring goals. Just when he’s about to have a run he gets stopped in his tracks. Hopefully he will be back for Luton but if not then the game after that.”

But Powell remains unsure when goalkeeper Mark Oxley will be back in contention.

“It’s very slow with Mark and he’s nowhere near being ready to come out and train,” said Powell.

“Back injuries can be ones that take a hell of a long time. Sometimes surgery is needed and that can be pretty major. It’s very slow and I couldn’t give a date as to when he will be back.”
