ECHOSPORT talks to Luton Town supporter Adam Scott ahead of tomorrow’s game at Roots Hall.

Luton are currently second in the standings. What has been your take on the season so far?

“If I’m 100 per cent honest this season has totally exceeded my expectations.

“Realistically I had Luton for a top 10 finish, pushing for the play-offs.

“But to be where we are at this stage of the season is exceptional.”

You lost Nathan Jones as manager at the start of the month as he took over at Stoke City. How much of a blow was that?

“I’d rather not talk about him but as you’ve asked, it felt like a blow - but it isn’t.

“Our team have rallied together and offered us brilliant performances since his departure.

“I was always on Nathan Jones’ side until the manager of the month award collection in his Stoke kit two days after leaving us. What a disgrace.”

Who has been linked with replacing him?

“We have had tons of names circulating including Ryan Lowe, Graeme Jones, Paul Hurst, Stephen Robinson and Paul Heckingbottom.

“Luton’s board have said they don’t wish to approach an ‘in work’ manager until the January transfer window is over. I would love to see Ryan Lowe at the club, but would feel some guilt with its effect on Bury.”

What are the hopes for the rest of the season?

“To stay where we are! A win this weekend, or even a draw, would have us go top. But, with a few rocky results, Portsmouth and Sunderland, Barnsley and Charlton are a big threat right now.”

Who would you say is the dangerman?

“There isn’t one, there’s several. I think this is why we are doing so well.

“There are Lee and Cornick who are obvious choices but they are injured.

“There’s Collins, Berry, Stacey, Justin and now we have LuaLua replacing Cornick.

“The depth in the squad is super but notice I didn’t mention Hylton.

“In my opinion, he has been a liability for us this season.”

What's the team news for Saturday?

"Same as Peterborough, I believe. There would be no reason to change."
