SOUTHEND Manor boss Adam Peek has called on his players to climb away from the Essex Senior League danger zone by registering a positive result against Ilford tomorrow.

Manor, who are 17th in the standings, welcome 13th-placed Ilford to Southchurch Park having been unlucky not to beat Clapton last time out.

The strugglers were made to settle for a point but Peek believes a similar performance would result in victory this weekend.

“If we perform like we did in the second half at Clapton then we will be a difficult side for any team to beat,” said Peek.

“We should have won the game and everyone knows that.

“The teams below us are dropping points and we want to build a gap between us and them.”
