SOUTHEND Saxons will be looking to make it back-to-back victories when they host HAC this weekend.
Southend saw off Old Priorians 28-25 on Saturday and scrum half Harry Branch is keen to build on the triumph.
“The win at the weekend was brilliant for everyone within the side,” said Branch.
“We had a great first half to get us 18-3 up but two soft tries were let in by us during the second half.
“Credit to everyone within the squad though because we ground out a victory which was ultimately the overall goal and we want to build on that now.
"I also think after winning at the weekend everyone's in a better mood within the squad.
"We have trained really well this week and we will be looking to show our form against HAC's.
But Branch knows fifth-placed HAC will be tough to beat at Warners Bridge.
“We played them earlier on in the year in horrific conditions,” said the scrum half.
“They were a slow team but were big in size and I imagine they will keep the ball tight.”
"But our squad at the weekend will be looking to play with pace and work hard to deliver a performance for everyone watching at Warners Bridge."
Southend head into the London One North clash sitting ninth in the standings.
