ROCHFORD Hundred continued their convincing unbeaten record with a 64-17 win against Sudbury but director of rugby Chris Green still believes there is more to come from his team.

Rochford, who won London Two North East without losing a game last season, have won all 18 of their matches this term.

But Green is certain Hundred have yet to hit top form.

“We still have plenty to work on and areas we need to improve so there is definitely more to come from us,” said Green.

“People have asked me how we motivate the players but we have our own targets and we want to achieve every single one of them.

“We want to win the league without dropping a single point and we’re in a cup final we want to win too.

“We want to do things nobody has done before but there’s a long way to go and some tough matches to come so we won’t be getting carried away. “

Rochford, who have now won 40 league games in succession, are currently nine points clear at the top of the London One North standings.

But Green knows his side’s unbeaten record could be under threat in the next few weeks.

“We have some very hard games coming up,” said Green.

“We have Ruislip whose results have improved considerably then we’re playing Colchester and North Walsham who are second and third so we will know where the land lies a lot more after those fixtures.”

However, Rochford will be heading into the Ruislip clash on a high after an impressive first half display helped them beat Sudbury at the weekend.

“I thought some of our attacking play on Saturday was as good as it has been all season if I’m honest,” said Green.

“We had a couple of injuries in the second half which we decided to take precautions with but we got the win we wanted.”

Mark Billings bagged a hat-trick of tries to help Rochford triumph while Sam Fombo and Iain Meads touched down twice.

Jamie Douglas, Michael Guess and James Kellard also scored tries to ensure victory for Hundred with the rest of the points coming from the boot of Cameron Greenhall and Chris Dudman.
