TAYLOR Moore insists he is not thinking beyond the end of this season.

The defender has impressed while on loan at Southend United from Bristol City this term.

But the 21-year-old is not sure what will happen when the campaign comes to an end.

“I haven’t really thought about next season if I’m honest and I’m just focusing on all the matches we have coming up,” said Moore.

“I’ve grown a lot of affection for Southend and this is the happiest I’ve been on and off the pitch.

“I had other loan offers for the second half of this season but I am enjoying my time here and working with Chris Powell so I really wanted to stay.”

However, Moore also has long term ambitions to force his way into the first team at Bristol City.

“I’m also very happy at my parent club Bristol City and I would obviously love to push to play in the Championship,” said Moore.

“They’re a big club moving in the right direction but right now I’m just making sure we have a good end to what I think has been my best ever season so far.

“I’m not really looking beyond that but at the end of the season I’ll be going back to Bristol City to try and get in the team there.

“However, right now I’m taking every thing one step at a time and just doing all I can to make sure I keep on improving.”

Moore has 27 appearances for Blues so far this season and scored the first goal of his career in the 2-0 win against Gillingham on New Year's Day.
