NORMAN Wabo hopes Southend United’s striker shortage will see him given an opportunity to impress.
The 20-year-old striker has netted 17 goals for the under 23 team so far this season but has yet to appear in the first team.
But, with Theo Robinson having joined Swindon Town on loan for the rest of the season, Blues boss Chris Powell will be looking for alternatives in attack.
And Wabo, who was on the bench against Bristol Rovers on Saturday, is hopeful that will see him handed an opportunity to impress.
“It was good to be on the bench and be involved but hopefully I’ll get on the pitch soon and get a chance to show what I can do,” said Wabo.
“I’ve been waiting a while and would love to get out there.”
