CHARLIE Kelman's memorable strike for Southend United against Plymouth Argyle has been nominated for League One goal of the month.
Kelman netted from inside his own half against the Pilgrims at Roots Hall.
And the goal is one of three to have made the shortlist.
The full nominations are:
Ali Crawford – DONCASTER ROVERS v Rochdale – 1st January
Standing over a free-kick near the touchline, Crawford used the twin pillars of technique and deception to arc his dead ball effort up and over Rochdale keeper Magnus Norman.
Charlie Kelman – SOUTHEND UNITED v Plymouth Argyle – 12th January
Ah, the audacity of youth. On as a late substitute for his debut, the 17-year-old announced himself to the football world by uncorking a shot, and scoring, from his own half. Yes, really.
Adam Hammill – SCUNTHORPE UNITED v Sunderland – 19th January
Just 13 minutes into his debut, Hammill rewarded Scunthorpe for buying him, feinting to try a first-time shot before unleashing an unstoppable curler into the top corner to earn a draw.
