SOUTHEND United's fans have their say on Saturday's 1-1 draw at Charlton Athletic.

Pride restored at the Valley, polar opposite to last week’s performance. Dru’s red probably justified but otherwise felt the officials were very poor. The 10 men and the subs all performed brilliantly but Bishop and the hard working Coxy deserve special praise.

@kristofshrimper

Brilliant with 10 men. That was the minimum we deserved. With 11 I thought we could’ve nicked all three.

@bradcooper71696

Much better performance than the last couple of weeks. Really good shift from everyone, especially once down to 10 men. Just have to find a way to carry that intensity into home games.

@moorhouse79

Quality point, proper team performance. If only we could play like that at home.

@ljarvis27

It was not pretty but Blues put in a tremendous shift, especially after going down to 10 men. We could even have nicked the win right at the death. Man of the match for me was Bishop for the three great saves he made in the second half. Big shout out to the Blues fans for the great vocal support.

@johnfrench52sky

What they had in quality and balance of play we had in fight, effort, team work and passion. Ten men gave their all and got us a point that could be valuable later in the season. Positivity from the outset worked, we could have won with 11.

@samgoody23

A fantastic battling performance from the boys. Effort, passion and commitment in abundance. John White, Nathan Bishop and John White were first class.

@nicey_16

Gave everything we ask for as fans, passion.

@rylee_doe

Lion hearted display. All we ask is for the same level commitment every week and everyone’s happy. Unlucky not to get all three points in the end. Impressed with Michael Klass’ cameo. Really opened the game up for us.

@p_rourke

Great performance, especially after Dru was sent off. Bishop made some excellent saves, Cox was amazing and worked tirelessly in all areas. Fantastic support and atmosphere from Blues fans. All in all a great day but lets push on from here.

@robertaskew7

I’ve been willing to criticise Powell when he’s got it wrong this season so he deserves credit for getting it spot on. Tremendous effort from everyone. Only negative the suspension and another injury. Bishop man of the match. Cox a close second.

@jsapwell

Proper gutsy performance.
