SOUTHEND United suffered two more injury setbacks during this afternoon’s 3-3 draw with Portsmouth.
Striker Stephen Humphrys was taken off after suffering a dead leg in the first half while winger Michael Kightly suffered a groin problem late on.
But Blues boss Chris Powell hopes the duo will soon be back in action.
“Stephen Humphrys has a dead leg,” confirmed Powell.
“He took a knee to his thigh and Michael Kightly caught his groin.
“Hopefully it’s nothing too bad.”
Blues were missing 11 injured players for the clash with Portsmouth while midfielder Dru Yearwood remains suspended.
Defenders Harry Lennon and Rob Kiernan were both selected on the bench despite not being fully fit.
