SOUTHEND United's fans have their say on Saturday's 3-3 draw with Portsmouth.

Was concerned we were on for an absolute hammering after the shambolic first 30 minutes but hats off to the lads for hanging on and getting back in it. Second half we played well and thoroughly deserved a share of the spoils. Impressed with Klass and of course Coxy was fantastic.

@kristofshrimper

Cox 11/10. Game of two halves, character shown in the second half was unreal.

@james_d_c

I’m trying my best to not sound negative here but it took us to go 3-0 down to start playing. Brilliant fight back however and Cox took the third superbly.

@bradcooper71696

Unbelievable comeback after one of the worst 30 minutes I’ve seen Southend produce. Credit to Powell for changing things. Cox was fantastic. Great to see Wabo and Hutchinson come on.

@austinwilks

What a comeback. Simon Cox man of the match/player of the season. Say no more.

@katherine_stead

Cox produced an absolutely outstanding display of centre-forward play. Side looked so much better with Mantom off the pitch, we actually tried to go forward with a bit of energy.

@peterrmiles

The team showed great character to come back. A season changing performance.

@fatblokemarge

Give Cox a 10 year deal, enough said.

Thought Klass was superb when he came on. Mantom was useless. Cox, Macca and Taylor Moore superb.

@benfluffs81

This week and at Charlton showed so much character, which makes you proud. Led magnificently by Cox. Mantom is out of form but don’t get on his back, he was our best player in the first half of the season. Looks like he could do with a rest. Impressed by Klass, comfortable on the ball.

@sibthorpemark

Shocking first 30 minutes but fair play it was a good comeback. Cox was a class above everyone else but everyone stepped up in the second half. If we get a couple of creative midfielders to add to the youngsters and the injured players returning we have a good side for next year.

Our academy is doing great things. Keep giving these lads opportunities.

In the space of 90 minutes - optimism, annoyance, anger, despair, boredom, hope, boredom, frustration, bit more hope, joy, fear, torment, ecstasy and finally confusion. What is going on this season?
