HARRY Lennon insists he is ready to return for Southend United.
The centre-back, who has been sidelined since October with a broken leg, played an hour for the Shrimpers’ under-23 side at MK Dons on Monday.
And the 24-year-old now feels capable of lining up for Blues’ first team.
“Obviously my fitness isn’t still where I want it to be but I’m fit enough to get through a game if I’m needed,” said Powell.
“It’s up to the manager when I’m back but I can’t wait to get out there and help the lads.
“It’s been a frustrating season for me with injuries and I want to do all I can to stop us having to look over our shoulders.”
Lennon joined the Shrimpers from Charlton Athletic in the summer but has made just two starts so far this season.
