SOUTHEND United may have been lacking a bit of bite at times this season but that was certainly not the case during this afternoon’s under 23 clash against Luton Town.
The game, which ended 0-0 at Boots & Laces – was twice interrupted by an English bull terrier running onto the pitch in the first half.
And the game could not resume until Blues winger Harry Bunn helped to remove the dog from the pitch.
“It was all fine,” said Bunn.
“It was something a bit different to deal with but I actually really enjoyed the game and thought we should have won.”
