HARRY Bunn insists he is ready to return to action for Southend United.

The 26-year-old - who has been out since mid-January with a hamstring injury - played an hour for the under-23 side in yesterday’s 0-0 draw with Luton Town.

And Bunn has now set his sights on Saturday’s League One clash against Barnsley at Roots Hall.

“I’m feeling good again now and I’m ready for Saturday if I’m needed,” said Bunn.

“The niggling injuries I’ve had have been frustrating but hopefully that’s the last one of them now and I can have a strong end to the season, just like the team.”

Bunn, who has played on the wing and in attack for Blues, has scored three goals in 20 games since signing in August.

But he was disappointed not to have made more of the chances he had against Luton.

"I should have done better but I'm probably a bit rusty," said Bunn.

"That will come the more I train and play but I've had really good treatment from Ben Clarkson and I can't wait to be involved again."
