WESTCLIFF face a crunch clash with title rivals Sutton & Epsom in London & SE Premier Division tomorrow.

Third placed Westcliff are just four points behind the league leaders.

And Westcliff's fly-half Jack Jones is keen to close that gap with a win at the Gables at this weekend.

"This game is hugely important not only because of the closeness of the league but also because we set ourselves the target of not losing at home," said Jones.

"We have only lost once at home this year to Wimbledon and if we can say that by the end of the season that is a huge positive.

"We have come off the back of a good win and now we need to push on."

However, Jones is fully aware of the size of the task facing Westcliff.

"It’s going to be a really physical game," said Jones.

"We only lost by three points when we played at their place back in November and we thought we still had more to give that day.

"We just need to make sure we are more physical and do the basics well and we will come away with a very important win."

And victory will provide Westcliff with a significant boost in their push for the league title.

"I think we are well and truly in the title race already and there are only four points that separate Sutton from both Wimbledon and ourselves so it is all still to play for," said Jones.

"Whatever happens this season, week in week out, the boys have loved playing for each other and the fans.

"The title race is a bonus and in all sports anything can happen."
