SOUTHEND Saxons will be gunning for a fourth win in five games when they head to Sudbury in London One North tomorrow.

Saxons head into the clash sitting eighth in the standings.

And, after a break last weekend, Southend's scrum half Harry Branch insists Josh Ward's side are raring to go.

"Everyone in the team is very keen to get playing again," said Branch.

"We have been training fantastically and all personnel within the squad are looking to put a massive performance in this weekend.

"The break was a lovely treat for all the boys.

"All of us have been putting in maximal effort prior to the break so the rest was well earned and should put us in good stead for this weekend."

Southend will also be making the trip in good spirits having beaten bottom of the table Diss 55-0 last time out.

And Branch remains delighted with the victory.

"It was a really good win, we got exactly what we required from the game and it was a job well done," said Branch.

"I think DFK (Dan Forster-Knight) managed to burn his usual 30,000 calories with the effort he put in."

But Branch also knows Southend must be at their best if they are to secure another win against Sudbury who are currently 10th in the table.

"Sudbury will be a well drilled side and they have a good coach directing them," said Branch.

"We will be looking to disrupt their game and play with high tempo throughout the full 80 minutes,"
