BARNSLEY midfielder Cameron McGeehan has been charged with violent conduct by the Football Association after appearing to stamp on Blues' left-back Sam Hart during Saturday's clash at Roots Hall.

McGeehan, who bagged Barnsley's first goal in their 3-0 win, looked to tread on the on loan defender in the 54th minute of the game which was picked up by the television cameras as the game was shown live on Sky Sports.

McGeehan has until 6pm on Tuesday to respond to the charge and looks set to be handed a three match suspension if found guilty.
