BOWERS & Pitsea hit Brentwood Town for six as they registered a 10th consecutive victory.

Jamie Dicks and David Knight scored a brace of goals each, while Lewis Manor and Fahad Nyanja also added their names to the scoresheet.

And Bowers boss Rob Small admitted his Isthmian North table-toppers had been threatening a big win for some time.

“We have threatened to do that at times this season,” said Small.

“We just had a ruthless day in front of goal and three of our four first half goals were from outside of the penalty area.

“Goals change games and we scored at good times.

“Scoring four goals before half-time killed the game and it allowed us to have the opportunity to increase the lead and get a thumping win.”

Dicks gave Bowers a 10th minute lead from long range.

Knight converted from the penalty spot, after being bundled over, eight minutes later and the Isthmian North’s top scorer completed his brace with a fine curling effort.

Dicks also bagged his second goal of the game before the break.

Manor, who also rattled the crossbar twice, was on target after the interval before Nyanja completed the scoring.
