CHRIS Powell is confident Southend United have what it takes to maintain their League One status this season.
And the Blues boss also believes the future is bright for his side.
The Shrimpers, who host bottom of the table AFC Wimbledon tomorrow, sit just two points and two places above the drop zone after going nine games without a win.
But Powell is adamant Blues will soon stop the rot.
“I know we can get out of this,” said Powell.
“You look at some of the performances even if they haven’t led to wins like Blackpool and Charlton and you can see something is there.
“We need to keep calm and turn it around.
“I’m confident it will change and I still believe the future is bright here.”
