SOUTHEND United's fans have their say on Saturday's disappointing 1-0 defeat to AFC Wimbledon.
How the hell did we allow Timlin and Wordsworth to go for players like Mantom, Hyam and Dieng. Disgraceful.
@blackshawpaul
The best player on the pitch was the Wimbledon number 40, think his name was Wordsworth. Drove his team forward, covered back, passed the ball well and showed commitment and passion. Can’t imagine which manager decided to give him away for free at the end of last season.
@davidagoody
Only hope of staying up is if Powell goes.
@danbasildonblue
Very, very poor. Neither team created much and in the end an awful mistake has cost us two points. Team looks low on confidence and it’s difficult to see where the next win will come from right now.
@strutty27
Managers are judged on their results. So of our 19 home games we have won six, drawn two and lost 11. That’s a total of 20 points from a possible 57. What more does Powell have to do to get the sack! The fans deserve better than the dross CP keeps serving up each week.
@johnfrench52sky
Really sad but it’s time for Powell to go. The response to their goal from him and the team show no-one knows what they are doing. There has to be a change to give us a chance of staying up.
@moorhouse79
It is clear there is no leadership or desire and relegation is almost inevitable as it stands. Just hope we aren’t in the sort of malaise that took the likes of Orient and Chesterfield out of the League so rapidly.
@peterrmiles
Hyam, Mantom and Dieng aren’t fit to lace Timlin’s boots. Ladapo scores sackfuls at Plymouth. It’s not all down to bad luck. Powell shows no passion himself and this is reflected by the players on the pitch.
@stonkerama
Powell must go. Didn’t come out on the touchline at all, again more ineffective subs and bad long ball tactics. No motivation. Hart was the only decent player in my opinion.
@bradrayner14
Sorry, Powell needs to be sacked along with the rest of his assistants. Clueless, lifeless and motionless on the touchline and needs replacing ASAP before we are relegated.
@stelee
Appalling. No effort, no passion, no commitment, nothing. Just remind me who were the home team?
@299peter
Changing our manager now won’t achieve anything. I still feel Powell will keep us up but this is the problem when you have a defensive minded person in charge.
