ON-LOAN Southend United defender Taylor Moore insists the playing squad remain right behind underfire manager Chris Powell.

The Shrimpers sit just above the League One drop zone on goal difference after going 11 games without a win.

But Moore, who is with Blues from Bristol City, is adamant the team are fully behind Powell and need to look at their own performances.

“Everyone is 100 per cent behind the staff, there’s no question about that,” said Moore.

“As players we look at ourselves first and think boys that wasn’t good enough.

“It doesn’t matter how we’re set up, that just wasn’t good enough.

“There have been a few games like that now so we’re looking at ourselves and what went wrong because we have to put things right.”

Blues rarely threatened at London Road as their winless streak extended.

And Moore was frustrated by the manner of Peterborough’s goals which both came from Marcus Maddison free-kicks.

“We’re disappointed to concede from two set pieces,” said Moore, who returned to the starting line-up against Posh.

“In the first half they played better football than we did and it’s frustrating because we know we have a lot more to offer.

“The second goal knocked the stuffing out of us and we didn’t really look to come back from that which was a shame because we have the talent and the ability to do it.

“It’s frustrating for us as a team but we have seven cup finals to go and we move on to the next one now.”

The Shrimpers remain 20th in the League One standings, just one point and one place below Shrewsbury Town who visit Roots Hall this weekend.

And Moore is determined to get back to winning ways.

“We need the points however they come and it’s another big game on Saturday now,” said the centre-back.

“Everyone is working as hard as they can, both the staff and the players.

“Everyone is 100 per cent behind the staff and we all want to get out of this situation.

“There are seven games to go so there are still plenty of points up for grabs and we need to start getting them to get out of this relegation battle.”

Blues have now taken just four points from the last 33 on offer and are second from bottom in the current League One form guide with only Wycombe Wanderers below them.
