BOWERS & Pitsea are set to welcome Frenford to the Len Salmon Stadium for a friendly tonight.

Rob Small’s side are just seven points away from clinching the Isthmian North title and the Bowers boss is keen to give some much-needed game time to those returning from injuries as well as players who have not featured heavily in recent weeks.

Bowers have registered 12 consecutive wins to move to within touching distance of the Isthmian North crown and the impressive run of form has seen Small make few changes to his starting line-up in recent weeks.

As a result, Bowers will take on Eastern Senior League Division One South side Frenford, with free entry for all in attendance.

Frenford are currently eighth in the Eastern Senior League Division One South standings and both sides will meet having recorded thumping wins at the weekend.

Bowers were in clinical form as they registered a 9-0 rout over Barking, with Isthmian North top scorer David Knight scoring four of the goals.

Frenford, meanwhile, wrapped up a 4-0 win at May & Baker Eastbrook.

Harry Daly put Frenford ahead inside eight minutes, while the lead was doubled thanks to an own goal midway through the first half.

Larry Asare was also on target before Charlie Fairhead completed the scoring.

The friendly comes just seven days after Bowers faced another Eastern Senior League Division One South opponent.

Bowers came from behind to seal a 2-1 victory over Brett Munyard’s White Ensign thanks to goals from Khadean Campbell and James Thomas.

And the duo are likely to feature again having failed to make Small’s starting line-up against Barking.
