ROCHFORD Hundred clinched the London One North title with a 58-25 win at Old Priorians.

The victory was the 24th in succession for Rochford, who remain unbeaten.

And winger Will Ferrier was pleased to secure a second successive promotion for Hundred.

“The game on Saturday was a great win as it was the one to secure the promotion,” said Ferrier.

“The first half was tough but as we played a more simple style of rugby we dominated in the second half.”

Rochford won London Two North East without losing a single game last season and took their fine form into the current campaign.

As a result, Hundred have scored 1,330 points in their 24 matches this season and have now won 46 league games in succession to secure back-to-back promotions, much to the delight of Ferrier.

“It’s always an amazing feeling to win a league, especially when it’s back-to-back promotions,” said Ferrier.

“This was one of the goals we set at the start of the season and it’s great to have achieved that now.”

Ferrier also played a huge part in Saturday’s success as he scored a trio of tries.

And the winger, who joined from Chelmsford in the summer, has thoroughly enjoyed his first season at Magnolia Road.

“I’ve really enjoyed playing this season and I’m looking forward to the challenge next year,” said Ferrier.

“Getting a hat-trick in any game is always a nice bonus but doing it in the game where we secured the promotion feels even better if I’m honest.”

Rochford bagged 10 tries in their latest big win, with skipper Harry Hudson touching down twice.

Jody Allen, Chris Shields, Alfie Justice, Daniel Sowter and Cameron Greenhall also scored tries as Hundred again ran riot while Greenhall added four conversions to seal the victory.

Rochford are now 14 points clear of second-placed Colchester with just two games to go and will be looking to see out another season without suffering a single defeat.

Rochford host fifth-placed Old Haberdashers this weekend before visiting Amersham & Chiltern, who are currently sixth in the standings, on the final day of the campaign.
