NEW Southend United manager Kevin Bond is certain he can keep the struggling Shrimpers in League One.
Bond will boss Blues until the end of the season.
And, despite 20th placed Southend not having won for 12 games, Bond is confident he can turn things around.
“If I didn’t think I was capable of helping the club stay in the League or if I didn’t think that the team were capable of staying in the League then I definitely wouldn’t have come here,” said the former Bournemouth boss.
“I’m very happy to take the job and I hope to make enough of an impact to get us the results.
“The results are important, it doesn’t matter how they come.”
Bond’s first game will see Blues visit Fleetwood Town this weekend.
