HARRY Hudson insists Rochford Hundred remain hungry to extend their unbeaten run - despite having already been crowned London One North champions.
Rochford have won all 24 of their matches this term.
But Hudson is determined to end the campaign without a defeat and is particularly keen to win their final home game of the season against Old Haberdashers tomorrow.
“I’m excited to run out with the lads one last time at home and put a decent performance in in front of a home crowd,” said Hudson.
“It was nice to officially have won it, it’s what we set out to do at the beginning of the year so it’s mission accomplished.
“The team’s performed exceptionally well this year and I think when we take our turn at being the old boys it will be something to be proud of.
“But we still have games left to play.”
Rochford are 14 points clear of their closest rivals Colchester, who they beat 36-12 in February.
But Hudson feels Hundred have not been quite the same since that victory.
“To be honest the intensity has dropped since Colchester,” said Hudson.
“We built that up as our final and we haven’t quite been there since, which is understandable.”
Rochford will now be lining up in the London & SE Premier Division next term.
But Hudson is not thinking about that at this stage.
“I’m not bothered about next year, we will worry about that in pre-season,” said Hudson.
“I’ve never won a league before, we still need to go undefeated and there’s an Essex Cup final to go yet so we will worry about that.”
