BOURNEMOUTH boss Eddie Howe feels he owes everything to new Southend United manager Kevin Bond.
Bond was named the new Shrimpers chief earlier this week.
And Howe, one of the most highly-rated managers in the game, is keen to see Bond impress at Roots Hall and has already contacted him to wish him well.
“I owe Kevin everything,” Howe told Bournemouth’s official website.
“He gave me a chance in coaching when probably no-one else would.
“I was a player here when Kevin just came into management.
“I was coming to the end of my career and he could easily have waved me goodbye.
“But he did the opposite and asked me to be part of his coaching team where I learnt so much from him and Rob Newman.
“I spoke to Kevin last night and wished him well in his new role and his new team.
“He’s a brilliant coach and I really do wish him well.”
