SOUTHEND United fans have their say on Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Wycombe Wanderers.

Hate to say it but after yet another insipid display we won’t and actually don’t deserve to stay up. Only Sam Hart, Stephen Humphrys and Elvis when he came on can say they played well. Game over once Wycombe scored as we don’t create anything and don’t shoot. Season’s been a disaster.

@kristofshrimper

Not sure what else there is left to say about a home performance but same old, same old. It is clear that this bunch of players are just not good enough to pull on a Blues shirt. Whoever is our next manager their first job must be to sack the entire midfield. They are all hopeless.

@johnfrench52sky

Just hopeless. The decision to replace Timlin and Wordsworth with Mantom and Dieng has cost us dearly. Our midfield is shocking and there is no pattern to our play. All that good work at Wembley is ruined.

@blackshawpaul

A really pitiful showing. In the past we have had teams of poor players that have tried and you can accept that. What is unacceptable about this team is the pedigree and salary demands they require for persistently weak performances. I cannot recall us having a more gutless team.

@peterrmiles

The players don’t seem to care. They don’t seem to want it. They seem intent on picking up a pay packet and look for a job elsewhere next season and not look back. Where’s the heart, desire and pride?

@harrisufc

A disgrace from start to finish. Lack of effort, hunger, fight, passion, enthusiasm and general application.

@p_rourke

Fully expecting relegation now. I genuinely can’t see us winning again this season.

@ljarvis27

Worst season I’ve witnessed in over 50 years. Going down without a fight is what really hurts though. I hate going to games now.

@tommyharris57

Genuinely the worst group of players I’ve seen in the 40 years I’ve been going. Absolutely no passion or fight.

@stonkerrama

They do not deserve any of our support anymore. Don’t know if I can even suffer another game of it.

@harrisonlane10

Dire.A must win game against a team that hadn’t won in 77 days and we made them look like promotion candidates. Dieng and Kiernan in centre midfield was laughable.

@juanmoorchants

After last week’s performance I’m shocked. All the fire and hunger we had against Fleetwood was missing and that hurts.
