SOUTHEND United midfielder Luke Hyam missed Saturday’s defeat to Wycombe Wanderers with a hamstring problem.
Hyam scored his first Blues goal in last weekend’s 2-2 draw at Fleetwood Town.
But he was unable to build on that display after being forced back onto the sidelines, much to the frustration of Shrimpers boss Kevin Bond.
“Luke gave us that energy in midfield but he pulled up lame on us on Monday,” said Bond.
“I’m led to believe he will be out for two or three weeks.”
Hyam has struggled to stay fit during his first season with the Shrimpers and has made just 14 starts.
