SOUTHEND United defender Elvis Bwomono has apologised for missing a key chance in the Shrimpers' 1-1 draw at Walsall.
The youngster fired wide of the left post from 10 yards in the closing stages with Blues 1-0 in front.
And Bwomono took to Twitter to say sorry.
"Gutted not to take the three points," wrote Bwomono.
"The lads worked really hard.
" Sorry to everyone I didn’t take my chance to kill off the game.
"Fans were immense again.
"We keep fighting to the very end."
