SOUTHEND United's fans have their say on Saturday's crucial clash with Sunderland.
Long list of reasons why we find ourselves where we are and I’m extremely frustrated at the current situation on the football pitch. Fear for what the future holds should we go down on Saturday.
@mwelly7
It’s tough. Have to get at least a draw, due to Plymouth playing Scunthorpe, but may have to win. Depends on other results. Games v Wycombe and Rochdale were crucial yet we offered nothing. We have to go all out to win and go from the off. Not a second half display like Saturday.
@robertaskew7
No faith in them at all. They will feel defeated before they even step on the pitch.

I’m already thinking about how many of the squad we can possibly get rid of in the summer rather than Saturday. The players have only proved they are up to a fight once in months. It’s damning. A complete rebuild is required.
@andrew_shrimper
I sense a win for the mighty Shrimpers! It would just be like us to do it the ridiculously hard way.
@flashdarbs
The playing staff are a mess and a complete revamp of the squad and management team is needed in the summer regardless of which division we’re in. Need a win on Saturday and even a draw will leave us needing snookers to avoid relegation. It’s a big ask for a bunch of poor players.

Currently hiding under the bed until Sunday!

It’s going to be another difficult afternoon. We will again be lacking a physical presence throughout the team as well as having a powderpuff midfield. This squad needs the biggest overhaul since Sturrock took charge in 2010. That’s how far we have regressed this season.
@johnfrench52sky
Difficult to see us winning. May sneak a point but that’s unlikely to keep us up. I agree with the comments that a huge overhaul is required in the summer. Take a mid-table season next year in League Two while we rebuild.
