CONCORD Rangers’ summer shopping spree has continued by securing the signings of Haringey Borough full-backs David Olufemi and Michael O’Donoghue.
New Beach Boys boss Danny Scopes has been busy in his first month in charge, having now welcomed six new arrivals.
And Scopes is pleased to have added Olufemi and O’Donoghue to his squad.
Scopes said: “David is a 25-year-old right-back who was Haringey’s captain.
“He was at Haringey for two-and-a-half seasons after he had been released by Colchester United, where he made over 20 appearances for the first team.
“David is a composed full-back, very good on the ball, will defend but also offers us great attacking options from that position.
“He is a leader on and off the pitch while being very hungry to carry on progressing and he is a perfect fit for us.
“I’m really excited to sign David and he is a great person who has been one of the best right-backs in the Isthmian Premier League.
“Michael is a 23-year-old left-back and, like David, he had been at Haringey for the last couple of seasons after being released by Colchester having also previously been at Leyton Orient and Reading.
“He is an outstanding young defender with a very good left foot. He is not afraid to get forward and has bundles of energy, will defend and has recorded lots of assists in the last few seasons with his quality in the final third of the pitch.
“Michael was the standout left-back in the Isthmian Premier League last season.”
