SOUTHEND United manager Kevin Bond is already hard at work for the forthcoming League One season.
The 61-year-old led the Shrimpers to safety on the final day of the previous campaign.
But Bond is already doing all he can to secure a higher finish.
“The hard work has already started,” said Bond.
“We’re formulating everything that needs to be done for pre-season and we’re looking at what we have and what we haven’t got.
“We’ve let players leave and have had players on loan who have returned to their clubs so we obviously need to bring more in.
“We’re looking at that and there’s lots going on at the moment but nothing we can really say too much about right now to be honest.”
