FORMER Southend United goalkeeper Daniel Bentley is being linked with a big money move to Bristol City.
Bentley joined Brentford from Blues for £1.2million in 2016 and has now made 125 appearances for the Bees.
However, the former Bromfords School pupil will soon be entering the final year of his contract at Griffin Park and is now attracting interest from the Robins, who are rumoured to be lining up a £4million bid.
Bentley came through the youth ranks with the Shrimpers and played a prominent part in Phil Brown’s side winning promotion via the League Two play-offs at Wembley in 2015.
The 25-year-old has now established himself as one of the brightest prospects outside of the Premier League but it is not known if Blues still have a sell-on clause.
