HADLEIGH & Thundersley will be looking to make it three wins in a row when they face Chelmsford tomorrow.

Hadleigh have triumphed in their last two Premier Division games.

And captain Adam Dobson is determined to keep the good run going against a Chelmsford side he feels will be difficult to beat.

“Chelmsford are a very strong team with some good players, so I expect a very tough game,” said Dobson.

“But we will still be going into the match with our plans on how to win the game and, with our confidence riding high at the moment, there’s no reason why we can’t make it three on the spin.”

Hadleigh head into the clash sitting sixth in the Premier Division after recording back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

Hadleigh beat Buckhurst Hill by 114 runs last weekend.

And Dobson remains happy with both the result and the performance.

“I was massively happy with the result but what was most pleasing was the performance we put in,” said the skipper.

“It’s always great to get back-to-back wins, especially in a league as tough as this.

“You can see how tight the table is from fourth down to 10th, so stringing results together is huge for any team.

“We know we are a strong team in the 50-over format, so now we have a couple of wins under our belts we will be looking to push on over the next few weeks.”

Hadleigh won last weekend thanks to a fine 91 from opening batsman Oliver Smith, while Sam Handley added a crucial 41.

Dobson took centre stage with the ball, taking six wickets for just 31 runs and Hadleigh will now be bidding for more of the same tomorrow.

However, fourth-placed Chelmsford head into this weekend’s clash looking to get back to winning ways after losing their last two matches.
