BILLERICAY skipper Lee Knight insists his side will take nothing for granted against Buckhurst Hill tomorrow.

Buckhurst sit second from bottom in the Premier Division standings.

But Knight, whose team beat table-topping Brentwood last time out, believes Billericay will be in for another tough test.

“It will be handy if we can kick on and win again this weekend because back-to-back wins will start to move us in the right direction in the table and open up a gap to those currently below,” said Knight.

“We feel it’s a winnable game against a newly-promoted side but we won’t be taking anything for granted because this will be another tough test.”

Billericay sit seventh in the table, two places and 15 points above Buckhurst Hill.

But Knight knows his side will go into the game on a high after a stunning victory against Brentwood.

“We were very pleased with Saturday’s win,” said Knight.

“I think it helped that there wasn’t any pressure on us.

“Brentwood obviously were favourites and I think even some of our own club members expected us to get turned over so it was nice to prove them wrong, albeit narrowly!

“We bowled well as a unit and fielded much more like ourselves after a few poor weeks so we want to make sure we build on that now and keep it going.”

Billericay have triumphed in three of their seven games so far this season and again look set to have Essex all-rounder Paul Walter in their side this weekend.

Walter scored an important 37 last time out.
