SOUTHEND United manager Kevin Bond was frustrated to see Dru Yearwood and Harry Lennon both having to come off at Dagenham & Redbridge this afternoon.
Lennon went off with calf problems in the first half while Yearwood suffered a hamstring injury after the break.
And Bond was disappointed to see more players forced onto the side-lines.
“The frustrating thing is we’ve had a couple of injuries,” said Bond.
“Dru and Harry have had to come off and we already have eight long-term injuries who we haven’t seen at all in pre-season.
“It’s frustrating. Harry has tight calves and Dru felt his hamstring before getting a smack on the nose.
“But we were concerned about his hamstring but we took him off to stop it getting worse.”
